Sanctuary Spa is excited to donate to Animal Justice League, a dog & cat rescue organization in Houston.
For the month of September, a percentage of every service or retail purchase will be donated to Animal Justice League. AJL has a place near and dear to my heart.
In August of 2021, our family was ready to add a dog. We searched petfinder.com and looked at soooo many dogs! We came across our boy, Tipton (such a proper name), with this cute picture. During Tipton’s intake at the La Porte shelter, they noted his great attitude! They also noted that he had a mass on his leg. They recommended it be surgically removed and then examined.
Amazingly, Animal Justice League not only saved Tipton’s life by getting him out of the shelter, they found him a foster and committed significant funds to bring him to full health. When we found his picture, he had been with the foster for four months.
From Finding Our Dog to Adoption
It was so fantastic to see his pictures and then to chat with the foster to get a full background of everything she knew about Tipton. AJL did a wonderful job
of trying to fully prepare us for a new dog.
We had a meet and greet with Tipton. His foster brought him to our home. Our entire family met him. We took him for a walk around the neighborhood. We decided Tipton was our boy!
Animal Justice League was there every step of the way though! They provide the first two weeks as a getting to know each other time. They look for a final “yes” before they list as the adoption complete! Even more helpful, they are always available for questions or support down the road. For our boy, they have required quarterly checkups, for the first year, with an Oncologist to ensure he doesn’t have any additional cancerous growths. We have now had Tipton as part of our family for 1 year! What better celebration than to raise money for organization that saved his life and brought him to us!
Animal Justice League Support
AJL provides r escue and care for stray and homeless dogs and cats. More than that, 
they go the extra mile to cover medical expenses and full vetting of the homes for the animals. They also spend time on education and outreach with the ultimate goal of reducing the homeless pet population. Accordingly, they count on all of us to donate to help with their animal rescue initiatives.
Incredibly, the Animal Justice League is run entirely by volunteers! These passionate animal lovers are incredible, tirelessly working to help animals. Volunteers help by fostering, vetting applicants, raising funds, and more. They are always looking for more help, read about all the ways you can help and apply on their site.
